Front Roof

Lots of progress this week. The front great room is taking shape. They got all the rafters in, and put down the sheeting on the main shed (single slant) roof.

Here are the first shed roof rafters going down:





By the end of the week we had the fascia boards all the way around the shed, including the very cool (and very large) overhang over the entry way (and into the top of the Japanese Maple tree...:-/ )







On Friday they started filling in the front wall of the stairwell, putting in the cripple studs inside and above the steel truss. The stairwell is going to be much more spacious than we expected, and the 2-story window in the tall wall is going to be impressive.
