Rockin' the House

The sheetrockers have been at it for 2 days. They probably have about 3/4 of the first floor done. It's really transformed the house back into actual "spaces" - we can no longer see from one end to the other looking through studs.

Here's the front "great room", looking toward the dining area, kitchen on the right, living room on the left:

Inside, looking out:

Kitchen area, the island kinda goes where the stack of sheetrock is:

Hopefully they will have all the sheetrock hung by early next week. After the "nailing" inpection they will start the tape/mud/plaster process which will take roughly forever (2-3 weeks).

The place has been crawling with 2 or 3 crews on some days. The stucco guys are finishing up all the detail work like corner beads and wrapping the lath over the tops of the parapet walls. I'm expecting stucco to start next week also.
