Scratch Coat, More Cabinets

The stucco, cabinet, and trim crews all arrived first thing this morning. It looked like an all-out assault. As Jonathan said, "looks like we'll be putting on a good show today".

He and his crew installed the remaining base cabinets, including our two built-in dressers in the master bedroom - they are going to be awesome:



and the linen cabinet in the master bath:



The bar "pony wall" also went in behind the kitchen island:



This is the wall that will support the 8' long, "Tequila Sunrise" (orange) Caesarstone bar top. They also installed the other "floating" vanity in the hall bath downstairs, and a bunch of the kitchen drawer boxes (no fronts, yet).

The trim guys are installing baseboard, and some remaining sills in the high clerestory windows. They really, really like shims (which is a good thing):



And by the end of the day, the stucco guys had finished about half of the scratch coat:



It's starting to look almost like a house...





And with wet concrete, we naturally had to leave our marks:
