Steel Truss Lands
It took 2 tries, but the steel fabrication folks managed to land the giant steel truss today.
They ended up 6 feet short on the first try - the forklift wasn't long enough to reach. They had to use a fork extension in order to get the required distance.
The whole process looked a little ugly, but they managed to get it safely on top of the side walls.
The guys delivering it estimated it to weigh about 5000lbs - that seems pretty high to me, I'd guess something around 3000lbs - but it's plenty heavy.
